The Warm Homes Plan
Active SchemeThe Warm Homes Plan is the UK government's flagship energy efficiency programme. It provides grants of up to £15,000 for eligible households to upgrade to renewable energy including solar panels.

ECO4 Scheme

0% VAT on Solar Panels
Saves ~£1,400 AverageSince April 2022, solar panel installations in the UK are subject to 0% VAT (down from 5%). This saves the average homeowner approximately £1,400 on their installation. This applies to all residential solar installations - no eligibility criteria needed.

The 0% VAT rate applies to the supply and installation of solar panels, batteries, and associated equipment for residential use. This is automatically applied - you don't need to apply separately.
